Strip Tease

The name says it all - instead of money you play for clothes, but its not all about getting naked because you will be winning clothes too - granted other people's clothes but that's part of the fun. Every one antes into the pot one article of clothing - its better if you can make everyone use a different type of clothing - one shoe, one hat, one shirt, etc. Then you take turns spinning the top and follow the directions for the side it lands on Put in a piece of clothing or Take out someone else's (or your own). All Pay - means all the players must put in an article of clothing. Take All you win back all of YOUR clothes in the pot - everyone else's stays in there! After someone wins the pot, everyone antes back up and the top gets passed to the next player to spin.

Drink it Up

This is the basic drinking version of the game. P means you Pass the drink(s) by choosing who has to drink the 1 or 2 you spinned. T means you Take - meaning you take the number of drinks on the top. AP is a Social - meaning all the players take a drink (a nice optional rule is making the spinner make a toast). TA is Take All - meaning you slam your drink! After someone wins the pot, the top gets passed to the next player to spin - no ante is needed.

Spin the Top

Remember Spin the Bottle? Well, you can easily add that element to Put-n-Take, whenever someone spins the person the top points at has to do something too. I will leave it up to you what that is, but common ones are to match whatever the spinner has to do, remove an article of clothing, take a drink, or get a kiss from the spinner - it all depends on who you are playing the game with!

You Call It

Every one antes into the pot, then you take turns spinning the top and follow the directions for the side it lands on. "P" stands for Put - meaning you put or pay into the pot. "T" stands for Take - meaning you take or get paid from the pot. The numbers tell you how many to Put or Take. "AP" stands for All Pay - meaning all the players must put or pay into the pot. And the one everyone is rooting for as the spin is the "TA" which stands for Take All - meaning you win the whole pot! After someone wins the pot, everyone antes back up and the top gets passed to the next player to spin.

No Guts, No Glory

This one is not for the timid, or the broke. The basic version of No Guts, No Glory is to simply ratchet up the denomination to $10. So the ante and each Put and Take is in $10 increments. That alone can make for crazy pots. But there is more - make the Side Saddle (Where the top lands on the tapered point instead of a specific side) result in the spinner matching the pot! (You can always cap out this match to say $100, just to keep it sane.)

Suicide

This is based on a drinking game, basically the POT is a big mug and when people Put into the pot they poor a sip of whatever their personal drink is into this Cup of Death. Take means they have to take a drink from the Suicide Goblet. TA means the spinner has to drink the whole crazy concoction. Of course this game is boring if everyone is drinking the same thing so only play it when there is a big variety of the drink players have - also since your all drinking from the same mug, it is fun to have a really cool cup of some kind and don't play when folks have colds! (I guess you could use straws if your germaphobic) After someone wins the pot, everyone antes back up with a splash donation to the Deadly Drink and the top gets passed to the next player to spin.

Who's My Friend?

Every one antes into the pot, then you take turns spinning the top. P1 stands for Pay meaning you put or pay into the pot. P2 however means instead of paying the pot you pay your friend - that being whoever the top is pointing at. T1 stands for Take meaning you take or get paid from the pot. T2 however means you get to take from your friend - meaning whoever the top is pointing at. AP stands for All Pay - meaning all the players must put or pay into the pot. And TA which stands for Take All - meaning you win the whole pot! After someone wins the pot, everyone antes back up and the top gets passed to the next player to spin.

Big Money, No Whammys!

This is game is played just like the regular game except you bump up the ante to say $5 or $10. The amount you Put and Take is still in $1 increments but the big ante really adds to the value of the pot.

Make up your own game using these options:

WHAT GOES IN THE POT - This is the quickest way to change the whole direction of the game, instead of putting dollar bills in the pot, you can make it drinks that you are giving and taking, or what if you had to pay up with articles of clothing?

Put and Take Gambling GameDENOMINATION - Just because the top says 1 doesn't mean you can't make 1 mean anything from $1 to $0.25 to $10. Also 2 doesn't have to mean two, 1 could mean $1 but you could make 2 mean $5. Just choose the denomination before play starts so everyone knows the stakes.

SIDE SADDLE - Occasionally the top will land on the taper side rather than having one of the printed sides displayed up - we call that Side Saddle - but you can call it anything you want, just like you can decide what should happen when it comes up. Common choices are lose a turn (boring), Pay 5, All Pay 2 and Match the Pot! You can also incorporate a Wild rule to it and make it so every time it comes up the spinner gets to decide what it will mean for the next person that spins a Side Saddle.

WILD - Just like in Poker you can make something a Wild - so if P2 is declared Wild you can make it mean whatever you want. You can also add the fun rule where each time it comes up the spinner gets to decide what it will mean for the next person that spins a Wild. (This is great way to keep things interesting and kick up the betting a notch or 10!)

SLOPPY SPIN -
It is up to you how to handle bad spins, generally a bad spin is one where the top doesn't spin on its point for 2 seconds. Common rule is to let folks have 1 bad spin but if they follow it with another bad spin they P1. But like everything in Put-n-Take its up to the players to set the rules. Also, new spinners that have never played are usually given a few free bad spins to get the hang of it.

WHERE THE TOP POINTS -
You can always add a second person to the action of each spin but having whoever the top points to when it lands also has to do what the top says (like spin the bottle), such as the spinner and the person it points at both P1 or T2. of course TA would mean they split the pot. Or mix it up even more and make it so the person that it point at has to do something else all together - drink, strip, kiss, whatever.
